Squash blossoms are a rare treat for me. One has to wake up early to harvest these since they start to wilt by mid morning. Thank you to the make-shift vegetable garden we have here that we get to enjoy these - and tomatoes, and okra, and even string beans.
Not only are they beautiful to look at, they also taste sweet. My mom cooked these in oyster sauce and hoisin sauce. The combination of both sauces amped up the sweetness.
